Meditative Meanders

Laiza Fuhrmann

This body of work began shortly after being placed in quarantine — summer 2020. With all that was going on in the world, everything felt so heavy and dark. Therefore, I decided to pursue art that served therapeutic and bright. I chose to use more accessible mediums such as watercolor, acrylic, and ink. As I create these works, I am able to meditate on life and its beauty and clear my mind at the same time. These works are mostly abstract and intuitive with some references to nature; deviating but from the typical art I create — detailed and thought-out oil and ceramic works.
