Basic Pottery Course

Service Description

$280 Value Four 1 hour lessons Weekly 1 on 1 with Laiza Clay and Tools provided Finished pieces will be available to take home after firing With your pottery course, you will learn how to create beautiful pieces out of clay, on the wheel and off. All appointments are 1 on 1, and personalized to individual goals and skill sets. Students will learn hand building wheel throwing, and more. Safety will be discussed at the first lesson. Students will receive a list of projects to complete during course. First session is booked by you at checkout, then you will receive an email to schedule the other 3 afterwards. Imagination and creativity is encouraged. Pieces created in studio will only be available to take home if they are fully ready for firing. This may mean that other sessions may be required. In the case that another session is needed for completion, and is not booked, created pieces will be scrapped. Studio address will be provided after booking. By booking any session or plan you agree to our policy and accept our terms and conditions stated here: One time payment will be accepted in person (cash preferred) before the first session. Payment plans may be discussed if a recurring plan is selected. Plan or session cancellations must be made before this first payment After payment, there will be no refunds, If student has to cancel an appointment, the session can be rescheduled within the month of original purchase. (Exceptions apply in cases of sickness, COVID19 or other emergency situations.) Excess money will be considered as donation to Lai Ceramics. Masks shall be worn by student at all times. If student is exhibiting any symptoms of COVID19, or tested positive, they must inform the teacher and reschedule the session. Student must treat the space with respect and care, and be willing to learn, and have fun. If student has any allergies to pets, inform the teacher, in order to adequately prepare the studio before the lesson. Students and guests are expected to behave safely around all machinery and tools in order reduce risk of injury and accidents. In the case of any injuries occurring on the property in which the class takes place, Laiza Fuhrmann Silva and the property owner are not liable for any medical charges or insurance obligations. All injuries and their consequences are the responsibility of student/ guardian(s).

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations or rescheduling should be made 24 hours before the time of the originally scheduled sessions to insure money back. There will be no refunds, If student has to cancel an appointment, the session can be rescheduled within the month of original purchase. (Exceptions apply in cases of sickness, COVID19 or other emergency situations.) Excess money will be considered as donation to Lai Ceramics.
